Here is an interesting fact: The space between elements of an atom are proportionally similar to the spaces between objects in our solar system such as our planets. Do a search on google and you will find plenty of articles on this.

Now consider this: a nucleus and proton are individualised portions of an atom and an atom is an individualised portion of matter.. the same stuff you and I are made of. Without going into all the probably more technical levels in between we can also say that a heart is an individualised portion of many atoms and then on to the human being as an individualised portion of many organs.. do you see where I’m going here? Do you understand the pattern?

My own personal revelations indicate the life exists infinitely in all directions. Stop to think about this theory for a minute. Science continues to back up this assertion as we progress in our understandings of the physical universe. Scientists continue to measure smaller and smaller elements of life and conversely the largest ones too. Of course if you recognise the space phenomenon we talked about earlier you will understand then the scope for discovery is infinite, since all of life is actually 99.9% empty space!!

The human mind however likes to place limits on things.. “I am only capable of doing so and so” or “only running at such a speed” or “only achieving certain goals”.. but time and again history has been beaten by better goals, faster speeds and bigger so and so’s! ..repeatedly. This is fact. And thus we come to the crux of this article.

Duality Consciousness is the definition of separation or the individualised portions of the whole. By nature (or human nature in any case) it seeks to create right and wrong, good and bad, me and you.. and therefore judgement.
Unity Consciousness is simply a shift in perspective which recognises the bigger picture.. that is, we are all smaller elements of a unified being. World without end.

This then if the very definition of God! God is the alpha and omega, He/She/It is the all and everything conceivable and beyond. God can be called by any name, The Source, The Divine or Satan for that matter.. because words are limitation to her. She created words (words which by the way have changed over the centuries, millenia and infiniti) and She also created the mind, therefore She cannot exist in the mind alone. God cannot be contained! The Source cannot be restricted to one religion because it exists in all religions. Satan is God because he is found in both in the Diabolical and the Divine. Anything other than this truth reduces God to something smaller than infinity and propogates duality consciousness.

This is not an easy truth to accept, for religion will have you believe that some are better than others and that these some are given salvation over the others. Every path is acceptable to God because every path is in fact.. God. The fundamental difference is that some paths lead quicker to happiness and others quicker to suffering. As explained in my previous article on circulating value all things depend on all other things.. it is only a matter of awareness which recognises this. This kind of awareness will help you realise that a tree is your equal because it produces the oxygen you need and you produce the carbon dioxide it needs. With awareness in mind you could view a tree as a part of your cosmic lung. There is much more I have to say on this topic and it really is possibly the most interesting topic to discuss (and debate) but I’ll end this article with a thought: Unity or Duality Consciousness? It’s time to choose!

I found out about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs the other day and it gave me some interesting thoughts to chew on. This diagram has been updated from his original one which goes on to state that man/woman cannot achieve the ultimate goal of life which is claimed to be self-fulfillment or transcendance (helping others to achieve self-fulfillment) without other needs being met first. I found this quite interesting given the events that have overtaken me in 2008. Personal experience has led to the exact opposite in my case. Many of those needs had to be taken away before I actively pursued a meaningful path, a path of self-fulfillment.

I can’t say that my biological and physiological needs were taken away but there are/have been noted stories of people who through prolonged periods of meditation, prayer and reflection are/were able to reduce their heart rates and breathing almost seemingly to the point of death and thus thwarted even the most basic of needs for long periods of time (food). If you believe in the bible, an exemplary case would be Jesus who fasted for 40 days and nights in the desert.

Ok so let’s return from this tangent and focus on the title of this article: Life Mastery = Self Mastery. I highlighted the above 2 paragraphs for one very particular reason: The only thing you really need is basic cognitive function to reach your potential.. and beyond! A noted example here is Steven Hawkin. If you look at most people, their drive is the outer world: money, material possessions, family, friends, sex, career and status.. but what most people don’t realise is that a mightier sword is wielded in the inner world, YOUR inner world. Listen up and listen close: How you react to people and events shapes your outer world. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see your desires unfold in the outer world.. however the outer world is fraught with obstacles. Many of these obstacles are perceived impossible in the inner world, yet perception is a very deceptive thing. If you could see through the eyes of another.. or put another way, see the world from a different point of view you might find some of those obstacles are perceived as trivial.

When somebody tells you you can’t do something do you believe them and re-inforce it inside yourself? Do you ever tell yourself you aren’t good enough because you don’t have enough money, a great partner or meaningful work? We all have internal dialogues which re-inforce the world we create around ourselves. We are creatures of habit and these habits are shaped by many factors including: our upbringing; relationships; social conditioning; etc. I’m a firm believer in meditation as a way of letting go of toxic emotions and thoughts.. but at the end of the day how you communicate with yourself is a driving factor in how successful you are in life. If anything what we should be doing is re-inforcing a set of only positive characterstics even if we don’t really believe in them. Lying to yourself is perfectly fine, you’re worth it aren’t you?
