The Art of Life: Detachment and Engagement

2008.. the year that shifted the focus of the journey from an outer one to an inner one. When you lose all meaning in life, when you lose your very self.. you are forced to take such a journey. This is the very journey we all in fact are taking this very second. But for most of us, such a journey is not initiated until the mask of security is unveiled.. because in reality there is NO security.

And yet the British government (and well probably every other government in the world) continue pushing the notion of security on the public. Secure banks, secure homes and secure jobs. Hmm.. anybody else see a problem here? I bet you there are hundreds of people willing to come forward and tell of how these things are being taken away from them.

This is simply put down to an incorrect perception of reality. Everybody’s heard the phrase, “the only constant is change” and um since this is much closer to the laws of our universe I think it’s about time we heeded it. Life Mastery = Self Mastery

I found out about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs the other day and it gave me some interesting thoughts to chew on. This diagram has been updated from his original one which goes on to state that man/woman cannot achieve the ultimate goal of life which is claimed to be self-fulfillment or transcendance (helping others to achieve self-fulfillment) without other needs being met first. I found this quite interesting given the events that have overtaken me in 2008. Personal experience has led to the exact opposite in my case. The Opensource Revolution is in full force.. and there will be no stopping it. For a time, opensource solutions weren’t up to the standard of their cost-based and licensed alternatives and this blogger thought that they wouldn’t catch up.. but with the creation of this blog that realisation has dawned And what a great realisation it is! One Earth, All Teachers

I believe very strongly in the idea of every human being as an expression of God. I am not Christian incidentally, I just use that as one reference for my lack of knowledge of other religions. Going to change!

Anyway, given that about 100 billion people have lived on earth since the beginning of time and that each and every one of them is/was unique.. I’d say there’s a lot to learn, wouldn’t you? And clearly our individuality is expressed in many ways.. physical appearance, emotions and our actions played out through our thoughts. [Read on...]

Google Threatens Itself with AdSense

Ok, although I’m fascinated by thoughts on the nature of the universe I thought I’d make my first post on web matters. And since I absolutely love learning new things I turn to Google a lot to help me find those new things. But I’m growing more and more frustrated by the amount of crap that’s turning up on the first page of searches. There seems to be a nasty trend of spammers deviously plastering Google Ads all over their front pages.

Now I’m not against online advertising.. it has it’s place, and I would like to place my own Google Ad on this blog at some point, but I am starting to entertain thoughts about using another search engine [Read on...]
