[Photo courtesy of pardeshi]I believe very strongly in the idea of every human being as an expression of God. I am not Christian incidentally, I just use that as one reference for my lack of knowledge of other religions. Going to change!
Anyway, given that about 100 billion people have lived on earth since the beginning of time and that each and every one of them is/was unique.. I’d say there’s a lot to learn, wouldn’t you? And clearly our individuality is expressed in many ways.. physical appearance, emotions and our actions played out through our thoughts.
Consider these two very interesting points:
Everyone is experiencing a unique route of this existance. Some painful, some with deep understanding and enlightenment, some with greedy, destructive motives, some who hold out a hand and spur on for the greater good.. and surely many many other experiences that wouldn’t fit in the pages of the longest book, nevermind a short article
We are all teachers of life. Age is irrelevant, in fact some people only elevate their stupidity with it. If you open your eyes you will recognise this point. Everyone else has something to teach you and so you them. Education is similarly irrelevant.. what does the wealthy first world banker know of the quiet impoverished 15 year old african girl looking after her sisters because her parents have died from aids and visa versa?
The more you embrace the existance of others the more you enhance your own because you can never directly experience anything other than your own. A good way of doing this is to drop all preconceptions about the way life should be lived.. a post I will discuss further at some point. In the meantime I’d like to know what is it that you can teach me?
